Our Week

I feel like we just kept going and going this week. Freddie had to work late most of the nights this week so the girls kept me busy. We went to see some friends on Monday, and Maddy and Emmy got to play for a while. Wednesday we stopped by Maddy's Mother's Day Out to meet her teacher. Her name is Ms. Melissa. Her son was in Maddy's class last year for the first half so she had already met Madalynn before. Maddy also got to see Ms. Alyson, the director, while we were there.

We went to the gym almost every day this week. I like it because the ladies in the childcare room keep the kids busy and entertained--the kids aren't just sitting around watching movies while the parents work out.

A couple of our little neighbors came over Wednesday afternoon and played in the backyard. Maddy loves playing with her buddy Joseph, and she was excited to splash around in the kiddie pool. Thursday evening I took the girls to our pool to play for about an hour. Maddy said thinks that's the way we need to spend every evening now. :)

Today we met some friends at the lake at the YMCA to feed the ducks. Since it's National S'Mores Day, one of the moms brought stuff to make those so the kids could have a snack too. Then we played on the playground and in the sandpit that's at the Y. By the time we left, both girls (and their mom) were completely worn out.

This weekend we're looking forward to babysitting cousin Briana on Saturday. Then we're going to Briana's birthday party on Sunday. Emmy and Maddy both love playing with their cousin, and she's such a sweet baby. Well, I guess she's not really a baby anymore. :)
