We took Emmy to her 2 week well-check today. She's doing great. She's regained all of her birth weight and half a pound more so she's up to 9 lbs, and she's 21 3/4 inches long. Her color is good, and the doctor could barely hear the heart murmur she heard at Emmy's first appointment. We will still go back to the pedi cardiologist when Emmy's 6 months to have him check her out, but both doctors feel like the smaller hole will be completely healed and the larger hole will be in the process of closing up at that time.
Afterward, we took the girls to Chik-Fil-A, a favorite of Maddy's. After chowing down on chicken nuggets, Madalynn kept her dad busy on the playground for about a half hour. Then we had a special treat of ice cream cones, including a Maddy-size cone just for her. Maddy's now crashed on the couch and Emmy's sleeping in her pack and play. It's strange to actually have silence in the house.
Well, I'm off to unpack more boxes. We're definitely making headway in the garage, but it will be several weeks before we finish unpacking everything. We've already pulled out a lot of things to go to Goodwill and some other things just to trash. But at least we're seeing more and more of the garage floor each day.
