Cruise Vacation, Pt 4

Our final port was Costa Maya. Freddie and I had never been here before so we were looking forward to seeing something new. Papa got a taxi for us and the driver took us to a beach that the locals like. I can completely understand why. It was quiet and not too crowded. Here's Papa checking out the scenery.

Papa thought Maddy had a good idea.

The girls and I spent a little time playing in the water. This has to be one of my favorite things to do in the entire world. They get so excited about what they see in the water and about playing in the sand.

One of the shop owners had her kids with her that day. Her daughter hung out with Maddy for a little while. It was interesting watching them because the little girl didn't speak any English and Maddy speaks very little Spanish, but somehow they still figured out how to play together.
It was Lisa's birthday that day. Some guys from the bar across the street brought Lisa a special treat--Ding Dongs and a Charlie Brown (a mixed drink)--and sang Happy Birthday to her.

At dinner that night Lisa got another round of Happy Birthday from our wonderful waitstaff.
