Our Weekend

Saturday, Freddie and I went out while Aunt Lisa and Matt watched the girls. We decided to go see an early showing of Ghost Rider, the movie with Nicholas Cage. I actually enjoyed it and was surprised that Freddie didn't. The dialogue is cheesy, but it's similar to Sin City--the dialogue is taken directly from the comic books. But I think that's one of the things I liked about it because it was just silly and fun.

We had a couple of hours to kill after the movie so we decided to go to that mecca of fun and entertainment, Sam's Club. We weren't really looking to buy anything, just look around. We browsed through the TV's because Fred wants a small one to put in the study. We also looked through the baby stuff to see if there was anything we needed, but we didn't find anything. I did end up buying a book on wine.

Then we headed over to one of our favorite restaurants, The Melting Pot. We hadn't been there in a long time and were really looking forward to gorging ourselves. We were still a little early so we had a drink at the bar before we were seated. Freddie had called ahead and these were waiting at the table.

Needless to say, it was a great surprise. We enjoyed our dinner and headed home. Lisa and Matt did a great job taking care of the girls and had them ready for bed by the time we got back.

Today we went grocery shopping and are now just working around the house until it's time to take Maddy to soccer. Maddy played with her Star Wars and borrowed something from Fred.

And I was also able to take another good face shot of Emmy where she's actually looking at the camera.
