It's Ours!!!

We closed at 2:00 on the house today! It's officially ours! Everything went smoothly, just signed a huge stack of papers, turned over the check, and got our keys. To celebrate, we did a little shopping!! We got a new bed for Maddy, new bedding for her and for us, and we picked up some stuff at Home Depot for sealing the tile. Freddie and his dad are going to get started on that tomorrow.

I really want to thank our incredible real estate agent Don Gentry for helping us with the quick sale of our old home on Dove Ridge and with the process of building our new home. I also want to thank Nancy Sawyer of David Weekley Homes for being such a patient salesperson. She has really gone above and beyond in answering our (many, many) questions and in handling any problems that have come up in the building process.

So the next few days are going to be super-busy with the tile, possibly some painting in the girls' rooms (sounds so strange to say that), and moving three storage units and an apartment full of stuff. We're looking forward to welcoming friends and family to our new house soon!
